The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept where every device, every sensor, is able to communicate with each other. The set of devices includes assets, instruments, persons, animals and any other ”thing” that we would like to interact with.
One possibility to have all these devices talking to each other is to have them wirelessly connected using radio transceivers forming an heterogeneous network. This way devices, “things”, can communicate and transfer information among them.

Parallel to the event we will also promote a fair and exhibition for companies and research laboratories dedicated to this theme.

Innovation

An innovation meeting will be held as an initiative of the Technology Transfer Unit of the University of Aveiro, within the scope of the project ‘Aveiro Empreendedor’, aiming at gathering together businessmen, faculty, researchers and students in an informal environment, so as to promote networking, and foster business and region’s growth, projecting it at a national and international levels.
